Go into all the world and preach the gospel. Mark 1615 I spotted her the moment I walked in the door. Her tiny form was barely visible as she clung to the wall, a mere speck on an expanse of white. My brain had no more than registered her existence before she was forgotten as I plunged into my work. Less than 30 seconds passed, however, before Miss Mosquito had zeroed in on me. Her bite quickly reminded me of her presence, and her demise was just as quick. She never knew what hit her. There's a lesson hidden here for us today. The mosquito detects, locates, and moves on her target in seconds against a much larger opponent. She willingly risks her very life to fulfill her purpose and satisfy her creator. How do we compare to the lowly mosquito? Are we sensitive to the presence of lost and dying souls around us, or do we choose to ignore them? How much effort do we really make to seek out the lost and lead them to Christ? And how much are we willing to risk in order to fulfill our God given commission to go into the world to preach the gospel and make disciples? Are we going to let a bug show us up? It is a shameful crime when a mosquito makes more of a buzz for God than we do.
