Speaker A:

The spirit of God came upon him in power and he joined in their prophesying. When all those who had formerly known him saw him prophesying, they asked each.

Speaker B:

Other, what is this that has happened.

Speaker A:

To the son of Kish?

Speaker B:

First Samuel ten 1011 do you read.

Speaker A:

Your Bible every day? If not, why not?

Speaker B:

And if so, does it make a difference in your life?

Speaker A:

Does reading the Bible change anything about you and the way you think and act?

Speaker B:

When Saul encountered the word of God.

Speaker A:

Being preached, his behavior changed so radically.

Speaker B:

That it was clearly visible to his friends. That's what our verse for today is all about.

Speaker A:

When the newly anointed king of Israel.

Speaker B:

Heard the word of God, his heart.

Speaker A:

Was changed, and that change of heart.

Speaker B:

Affected his attitude and his behavior as well. Sadly, it was short lived, but only because Saul stopped listening to the word of God. I would suggest that our failed commitment is short lived for the same reason.

Speaker A:

Which is why I encourage you to.

Speaker B:

Read the word of God every day.

Speaker A:

Gods word is powerful and produces change in us.

Speaker B:

To read the Bible each day, yet.

Speaker A:

Remain unchanged in our thoughts, our words, and our behavior reveals a calloused heart that refuses to bend to gods will and authority. Reading the Bible each day should change us. If it does not, the fault lies in us, not in the word itself. Perhaps we are only reading words and not asking how those words should affect us.

Speaker B:

And if we, like Saul, dont stay.

Speaker A:

In constant contact with the word of God. We could end up worse than ever. So read your Bible every day. Don't just read the words and don't.

Speaker B:

Just check off a box on your.

Speaker A:

List of things to do so that.

Speaker B:

You can say, yes, I read my Bible today.

Speaker A:

Instead, become a student of the word and let it change you into the person that God wants you to be.

Speaker C:
