God At Work

Transcript
In all things, God is at work for the good of those who love him.
Speaker B:Romans 828 driving down the street one.
Speaker A:Rainy day, I spotted an unusual sight in a drainage ditch. Alongside the street was a gorgeous egret. The bright white feathers stood in sharp.
Speaker B:Contrast to the otherwise gray day.
Speaker A:This was just another reminder that bright spots do exist in an otherwise dull and common routine. Yet I wonder how many other drivers even noticed that.
Speaker B:Ygritte cell phone calls, conversations with riders.
Speaker A:Songs on the radio, and traffic probably kept most drivers so occupied that they drove past without even seeing the bird. It was their loss. Paul wrote one of the most loved verses in all the Bible. In all things, he said, God is at work. His fingerprints and his signature can be found in even the most common places. There is beauty in a barren desert, a rainy day, and even on a crowded street, but we will never see.
Speaker B:Any of it unless we look. Some people, maybe more than we think.
Speaker A:Never really expect to see the hand.
Speaker B:Of God in everyday life. That's why many people miss the whole.
Speaker A:Point of Christmas or Easter.
Speaker B:We fill our lives with things we hope will bring us joy and satisfaction.
Speaker A:But often discover that such things merely distract us further from the real beauty that God gives.
Speaker B:We can get so busy at times that we forget to take time out.
Speaker A:To smell the roses and enjoy the priceless gifts that God sends our way each day.
Speaker B:How many signs of God's work have.
Speaker A:You missed this past week? Isn't it time we started looking for.
Speaker B:The way cool things that God sends our way?
Speaker A:If we expect to see nothing but dull, gray things along the road, that's all we will see. But if we keep our eyes open and expect to see God's handiwork, we won't be disappointed.
