Speaker B:

Let us fix our eyes on Jesus. Hebrews twelve, verse two. How do we fix our broken world? How can we improve our lives? How can we strengthen our marriages? These are common questions to which so many different answers are given. Libraries are full of books with ideas to answer these questions. Dr. Phil and Oprah host experts who proclaim answers. Documentaries and conventions and seminars are held all across the country to help people with these issues. But the Bible gives just one answer to the pressing questions of our lives. Fix your eyes on Jesus if you want to be the best at something, you look at the best and you follow the best, and you be like the best. There is no one better or greater than Jesus who is described in the book of Hebrews as one who is greater than angels, greater than Moses, greater than all men, faithful to God in every way, worthy of honor, the builder of everything and the son of God with authority over all that God has made. We are doomed to fail if we take our eyes off Jesus and look for answers from anyone else. Remember, Peter walked on water and was doing just fine as long as he kept his eyes on Jesus. But the moment he took his eyes off Jesus and began to look around at the wind and waves, he began to sink. We too will flounder and struggle and ultimately fail to find answers to our questions. Until we learn to keep our eyes on Jesus, he alone can save our souls. He alone is our hope. He alone holds the definitive answers to life's tough questions. He alone holds the solutions to all of our great problems. He is our help, our guide, our strength, our example, our solution, and our salvation. We must keep our eyes fixed on him.
